Tewkesbury Abbey

Back-blip 6 of 6…..

What a whirlwind week, in Germany on business Monday to Thursday, back late and up early yesterday to travel to South Devon to support Danielle in her National Baton Twirling Competition then back in the evening for band rehearsal and off to Evensham this morning to play in the Wychavon Brass Band Contest, phew!

We were 4th out of 10 in our section so not too bad, particularly as one of our players (not to mentioned by name, but his nickname is Crispy), got lost between the rehearsal room and the contest venue and didn't make it back in time to play!! All down to our reliance those days on SatNavs it seems!

Still, 17 of us went back to Bristol for a few beers and a curry and the awarding of annual trophies for Most Improved Player, Best Musician, Best Bandsman Award etc etc. Guess who got the Wood Spoon Trophy?!

On route back to Bristol I took a small diversion and a very quick visit to Tewkesbury Abbey to capture my blip for the day.

I'm so looking forward to a Sunday doing as little as possible - apart from the washing, ironing, cleaning and everything else that needs to be caught up on that is.
