Lanzarote - Through the port hole

This is the view from our villa in Playa Blanca towards Montana Roja, an extinct volcano. We walked to the top early this morning, before it became too hot. It was a short steep climb to the rim of the crater, the panoramic views were magnificent, we were able to see Fueteventura to the south, along the west coast to El Golfo and north towards Timanfaya National Park. Well worth the effort!
