The University Singers and UVA Chamber Singers

It was a great concert. I especially liked their rendition of "Ave Maria".

Also performing were the Virginia Glee Club and Virginia Women's Chorus who also did a fine performance.

As a youth I had a negative bias against voice due to my experiences in choir at prep school as well as having to listen to opera blasting from my father's phonograph at 6am.

But with a more mature attitude, I now find it a grand celebration of the human spirit.
