A new escort
The weather deteriorated and as we cruised past the Scottish islands heading for Greenock we saw very little except grey skies and slightly choppy seas - which was disappointing. However as I did my regular laps of the deck I noticed porpoises darting alongside the ship. At first i thought they were dolphins but apparently dolphins are larger and would have been able to keep up with the ship, whereas these were quite neat, dipping in and out of the waves and were soon left behind. I can assure you that a lot of shots were taken of the water to find this one showing a porpoise - they were very quick!
A superb cruise was coming to an end as suitcases were piled by the cabin doors to be be whisked away during the night.
