A Mother's Love.
The Man took me round to see my Mum today.
She was busy quilting in her bedroom. She has her sewing machine set up by the window for the light and she can spread the quilting pieces on her bed.
When I went in there to look at her beautiful sewing, I spied these two teddies. She had sat them in her bedroom chair wrapped up in a shawl that I had knitted for her last Christmas.
We both laughed at the craziness of it, but both understood the deep connectedness between us that made us see the tenderness as well as the folly!
My Mum is 81 and I have been blessed to have been enveloped in her shawl of love for 56 years.
A mother's arms are made of tenderness and children sleep soundly in them.
