Scots Pine

Our walk this morning was to Sutton Heath, an area of 150 acres of woodland and heathland, which is about three miles from Woodbridge. Sutton Heath is an SSSI site and is home to roe deer, adders, and several species of birds, including the not so common Nightjar, Yellow Hammer and Tree Pipit. It has ancient oaks and rides of scots pine planted in 1939.
We just got back to the car as the heavens opened, our drive back home was 'interesting' as the roads were unable to cope with the sudden deluge and most were under water.
As it was such a grey morning the photographs we took lacked any colour so I have converted this solitary Scots Pine to mono.
