Last Walling Day 2014
I was supposed to be at the fank on Friday but was stuck in Oban because of my rubbish timetable reading skills. I'm so glad I got here today as it is the last training day for this year. They have made excellent progress - 27 metres done and 32 to go. The weather was pretty atrocious which made the volunteer wallers even more heroic - and they all stayed remarkably cheerful. This is Peter the trainer, he's collecting dead bracken to lay on top of the churned up mud in the different sections of the fank that have been worked in.
It's been a really busy but creative weekend - in very different ways. Sofa and glass of wine calling.
