Outside the Cottage

Cathy the hill farmer's wife, took this photo of myself, Paul and her daughter Katie, just before we left. There had been some traditional burning of the moor ( swaling )whilst we were chatting so there were swathes of smoke drifting across.
I filled the bird feeders as we had so much pleasure from the birds as we breakfasted with a wren, robins and blue- tits being frequent visitors.

On the journey back we stopped off at Helmsley then carried on with the journey non stop arriving home just after 8:0 p.m.
