Masca

Out first full day in Tenerife. The weather is glorious as you would expect so we jump into our hire car, a gutless Renault Cleo, and drive up the coast to Los Gigantes. These giant cliffs coming up from the sea are quite impressive.

We then head further north and into the mountains towards a village called Masca. We were totally unprepared for the roads we were about to encounter- they were very twisty and turny and quite tight around the many switchbacks we came across.

We had lunch at this lovely bar in the village before we explored some more and found some beautiful views of Teide (Spain's highest peak), and of the north Coast.
