Illuminating

Today has been lovely.

We had a nice lie in, followed by bacon & egg butties whilst deciding what to do for the day.

As it was ok weather wise, we decided to take a ride a bike along the Fylde Coast.

We stopped off in Lytham for a coffee, before riding through St Anne's, Blackpool, Cleveleys & finally into Fleetwood.

After a bit of deliberation of what to do next, we agreed to stop off in Fleetwood for food and wait for it to go dark, before riding back the same way to see the illuminations in Blackpool.

They're pretty much as I remembered them from years ago (I think some of them are the same ones!!). It was nice to ride through them, as we always parked at the South shore & my Mum made us walk through them as kids....it felt like such a trek with our little legs, but we were always treated to fish & chips before walking back to the car.

It was much easier getting through on the bike; we could filter through at a steady pace.

It's not something I'd rush to do again, but it was something different for a Sunday night, and it's always good to be out with Mr A.
