Year 2, Day 287 - The Hermitage
I set the alarm for 5am with the intention of heading up to Glencoe for a sunrise but it was torrential rain so I went back to bed!
I picked Dale up from her friend's house at lunchtime then headed up to Perth to my mum and dad's. We then went up to The Hermitage and bumped into two old friends that I haven't seen for years (and they haven't changed a bit!!!)!
On the way home we encountered roadworks at the Broxden roundabout - 40 minutes to drive about 1.5 miles!!!! Grrrrr!
I'm also gong to have a rant about the A9 average speed cameras - they are now in use and are going to cause an accident!!!! The amount of people that were stomping on their brakes whenever they saw a set of cameras - WHY??????? The A9 between Stirling and Perth is usually a smooth road but today, traffic was speeding up and slowing down and I passed the same car several times! It would appear some drivers don't know about the speed cameras. Or more likely, don't know how they work if they stomp on their brakes every time they see one!!!! Double grrrrrr!
