Last of the sun lighting up Kinder Scout
Didn't get out much today, but glad I made the effort however brief it was.
Sun didn't last long before a large bank of cloud swallowed it up so I took a few quick shots. This one was so much better than it looked on the back of the camera.
The dark heather clad hill in the foreground is called The Knott, and the range behind is part of Kinder Scout. The right hand end is Kinder Low and Kinderlow End.
This is the most well known hill in the Peak District and a magnet for hillwalkers.
I spent the morning photographing birds in the garden, or trying to. There were a few successes but the way the low sun cast shadows on the hills meant I blipped this one.
