Jim & Mary

I was out for a walk and lunch with my friends Jim and Mary today ..... 5 years ago at the age of 55 Mary was diagnosed with a life changing illness. They had both been secondary school physical education teachers all their life's and have known each other since teacher training college. They decided to take early retirement within a few months of each other and enjoy life... Mary's stoicism and Jim's love and care for her are breathtaking and inspiring.
They are both still very physically fit and walk several hours everyday - dragging my fat unfit ass around the West end of Glasgow with them getting some exercise was just what I needed 8-)
