Fortune Cookie

My last consultation meeting was held today. I had to do the commute one last time and then spent the morning doing the last bit of chucking of paperwork and giving away my plants.

The final meeting lasted less than five minutes (and that included giving back my company credit card and my entrance key card). It was good to catch up with my colleague who was also made redundant and compare notes.

As a last farewell, the whole team went out for a meal. It was the same place where I'd had my introduction to the team in January 2013. I've come full circle.

This is my fortune cookie message. Seemed apt somehow. I'll miss my team and the journal but not the working hours or the commute.
