Stairway to Fort Vancouver
Today was cold with promise of rain, so we went on an urban hike at Fort Vancouver, which used to be the southern limit of the British Territory, before it became the State of Washington. The hike started at the Fort and went over a "land bridge" which was a convenient structure that crossed a busy highway and railroad track and took us to the Columbia River where a wide walkway continued for several miles along the river. This was a new discovery for me. I thought this stairway, obviously old, was a mystery. On the way my lens stopped functioning on my camera and I had to resort to the IPhone for this shot.
