crathes

up at the very top of crathes castle, up four tiny windy flights of stairs...we all needed a lie down after set up this morning. beautiful room though - a kind of court room where the laird used to try local folk for minor offences committed on the estate. I'm liking the castle craft fairs as there's always a national trust guide in each room telling folk about the history of the building, so we get to hear it all.
