Best Film EVER!

Until today, my favorite film of all time was Far From the Madding Crowd (Alan Bates!), followed closely by The Full Monty, but they've now been superseded by Pride, an amazing true story from the mid-1980s about an unlikely alliance that springs up between Welsh coal miners out on a long-term strike and a coalition of London gays and lesbians who offer their support.

Pride touches both head and heart, and the characters have depth and credibility. This article from The New York Times offers interesting details, as well as a brief scene from the film.
