Who's that girl?
After taking the bin-bags to the bottom of the garden this morning, it was my turn on 'kitty watch'. I grabbed my library copy of 'Night Film' by Marisha Pessl, a bottle of weak lemon drink and the camera and plonked myself down on the poang in order to witness as chaos ensued. It generally does.
There's a handful of shots with assorted feline appendages in the process of exiting stage left or right. A few others of a completely deserted hallway. (If only they left little 'zooms' and 'whizzes' like they do in the cartoons). There's one with both of them three feet off the ground in a blur of heads, legs and tails. That one's a keeper.
There's a really cute one of Salvatore (Salvo!) again. I'm sure that that boy has a bright future in modeling ahead of him. He is such a tart.
But then it occurred to me that I haven't introduced Lilli to you yet so please let me correct that particular faux pas right now. She's still very shy. Having to be quite assertive with her while applying eye-drops has not helped with the bonding. She's my brave little hero. She came to us for help with a bad eye infection. With the help of Cats Protection we were able to trap her and get her the treatment that she needed. Alas ! There was no saving the right eye but hopefully the infection won't spread. She was also spayed while she was under and, as she was feral at the time (we didn't know if she would accept us), she was considered part of the 'capture and release' program so they also clipped the top of her ear accordingly. They boarded her for quite a while to make sure that she was well on the road to recovery, then they micro-chipped and inoculated her and sent her home.
But now she's family. Full stop.
