Moorhens

Today it is a typical November day, cold, dull and wet, but then it is November; it has rained on and off all day. Florence went out once and has been indoors ever since. Dougal on the other hand keeps going out of the back door to check on the weather, then he goes round the front to see if it is any better, then asks to come in the front door, before doing it all again five minutes later.

Today’s picture was taken across the garden and through our cement stained windows, it is of two, of the four Moorhens, which were pecking about in the orchard at lunch time.
