Moot can be very straightforward when he wants company. He just turns up and plops himself down on your keyboard and mouse and won't move until he's been petted enough.

Got my tax declaration sorted today. That was as much fun as you think it wasn't. I thought that because I'd done it on-line last year, I could do the same thing this year. But that's just sensible talking. And Elster-Online* - the on-line German tax system - is anything but. I shall spare you the profanities that were used - they were legion.

Then I ventured out to deliver the thing. Managed that with little drama. Mind you the stairs back up to the flat just about killed me.

*ein Elster is "a magpie". An appropriate name really.
