Old and New

The advances in technology are so rapid that it's no wonder that older people begin to feel that it's beyond them. I'm lucky that I started playing with computers as soon as they appeared on the domestic market but I still feel that I'm falling behind.
When I started my career I was cutting recordings directly on to acetate discs, when I retired we were using digital audio tape. Now I can fit the whole of my music collection on a chip smaller than a postage stamp, so I feel that this old and new are appropriate.
