Darnaway Castle

These lovely gates only date from Victorian times, although the original castle was built for the Comyns, Earls of Moray in the fourteenth century.
Red Comyn was murdered by Robert the Bruce, supposedly as he was a threat to him assuming the crown of Scotland.
