The Lion's Head

I passed this Victorian Drinking Fountain and Cattle Trough, in Selbourne today. It was cast in 1978 and given to the village by W. Mills of Portsmouth; the windmill motifs were a visual reference to him, apparently.
Behind the cast iron door is an associated water pump which was installed in 1894.
