Wrong lens for today

I was stuck with only one lens today.

Not sure where the little 35mm one was, so it was the 55 - 300mm only.

I wanted to get an overall shot of this magnificent castle (Chepstow BTW); but was too close.

In better news though, hopefully not for much longer. The 2 lens that came with the D80 and the D7100, are currently in the Black & White Camera shop in Bristol; being 'repaired' into one functioning lens.

He is taking the mount off one, and putting it on the other.

I was hoping to get a good quote for converting the D80 into an IR only camera, but was told that a) he doesn't do it; and b) he reckons it's about £300.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to get this done?

Anyway; today we went to Chepstow Castle, as apparently this term at school is all about Knights & Castles.

I think C liked it. He took a good picture anyway (which I helped to crop ever so slightly)

He's been far more pleasant than yesterday where quite frankly he was horrid for most of the day.

Back to work tomorrow, but still have a concert in Cardiff to look forward to at the end of the month - complete with a stay in a hotel; and the following day off work! Yipeee!
