MonoMonday:Old and New

Two challenges, one blip.

Just before she died, three years ago, my mother-in-law went through her jewellery and selected individual pieces to give to the women in the family after her death. When she died, there were two daughters, four daughters-in-law, nine grand-daughters and three great grand-daughters. There should have been more but death and divorce have caused a few to fall by the wayside.

This is the piece she chose for me. I've only just been given it as my sisters-in-law wanted to hand it to me personally and I don't get to see them together all that often. So, while its an old piece of jewellery, it's new to me and, with the detailing on the cross, I hope it works as a macro.
