Looking back along Beech Avenue.
The November Spokes Ride went to Aberdour in Fife. It was meant to be sunny all day, however dark heavy clouds teased us by hiding the sun and blue sky threatening rain. Fortunately we missed the rain until just before the Forth Road Bridge. Here the weather turned a bit wild and damp. Fortunately it didn't last for long and we missed the worst of it. Looking down the Forth, grey was heading out to the North Sea.
Once in Fife, the sun came out and stayed out. It was a wind assisted ride to Aberdour, where we had lunch at The Woodside Hotel.
For the afternoon ride home the sun continued to shine. I took this photo from the Dalgety Bay end of Beech Avenue, view large to see the light shining through the leaves, intensifying the autumn colours.
A lovely ride back to Edinburgh in the sunshine, so enjoy the good weather when you can. See here for the route.
