Another sunrise

Although perhaps this doesn't look like one. There was quite a lot of heavy grey cloud around this morning with a band of marmalade out to sea. This was taken just before sunrise. An incoming high tide had the Canoe pool overflowing. Not a sign of a surfer or dolphins for that matter.

Melbourne cup today. I work with the sister of a part owner of the winning horse. She was ecstatic but I am kicking myself I didn't have a bet on it but just went in the office sweeps. Apparently the horse is coming to Newcastle. I was shocked that a horse died after the race. It has raised all sorts of comments regarding the cruelty of racing. I don't know the answer to that.
