The first spindle marble . . .

. . . spent most of the day on site working out how to rip out the existing staircases, insert strange shaped steel beams in the landing, while keeping the bedrooms accessible for the customers with a temporary staircases!

We've settled on next Wednesday for the top flight to arrive along with 6 or 7 of us grunting and groaning, as it weaves its way though the porch, arched topped front door, avoiding the beams, and up through the new stairwell to the 1st floor?!
