Alix Cléo Roubaud, 1952-1983

Visiting this afternoon the small but beautiful photo exposition of Alix Cléo Roubaud in the Bibliothèque nationale de France. She was a writer and photographer and if you want to read a bit more about Alix's Journal, here is the link.

I saw two major trends in her work:
- taking pictures in rooms, in really all varieties. Almost always with people, sometimes as shadows only, sometimes in 'various states of undress' (as described in the article)
- being artistic in the lightroom (the real, physical lightroom at that time). Sometimes it is hard to see at first glance if it is a photo or a drawing. See some examples here on blipfolio.
