What a difference a day makes

There is only a difference of about 36 hours between my photo a couple of days ago and this one, taken from exactly the same place and looking in the same direction. It was a cold and frosty morning this morning, although it cleared up fairly quickly but it is amazing what a difference a day makes.

Later we met with some friends who took us to the Northampton Catering College for lunch. Any worries we may have had about 'student food' were soon dispelled - we had a lovely meal and of a standard I would have been very happy to have in a decent restaurant, and all for £9.95 for three courses plus the cost of wine! The young students waiting on the tables were keen and I think the wine waiter may well have been opening and pouring his first ever bottle of wine - but all done under close supervision and instruction. Definitely a good experience which we will do again some time.
