Fungi

It's been a lovely sunny day, but much cooler than of late (well it is November after all) and the temperature dropped away when the sun went down so perhaps a touch of frost tonight.
On my walk this afternoon I noticed this lovely specimen, I've looked in my Mushroom and Toadstool book but cannot identify it, so if anyone can I would be most interested to know what it is. It reminds me of gooey marshmallow with a sprinkling of nuts on the top!!
