In a Shaft of Light
Colours are changing fast now in our area. Leaves are falling from the branches and we will soon be into the 'leafless' season. It is decidedly cooler as well.
I popped up to Weston Park with clear skies overhead. I'm beginning to understand the way light works on the various parts of the park. Most of the pools don't receive that much early light as banks of trees block the rays of light at sunrise.
Here, a thin shaft of light come through a gap in the trees caused by an extension to Temple Pool which passesunder the bridge in the distance. It briefly lit this specimen tree at poolside.
