Town Hall

Dominating all else around it the Lerwick Town Hall today at lunch-time when the wind had dropped to around 18mph. The Shetland flag flying above the building to signify the council was meeting. A big day today as the councillors were voting on whether to close to rural primary schools in the north-west of the Island.

Surprisingly given recent policy and recommendations they voted to keep the two small schools open much to the delight of the locals. Not sure if it will affect the proposal to close or reduce the Sandwick secondary department.
