Machu Picchu With Yours Truly

These will be the last two photos I will post of
my trip to Peru. Note the terracing that was
done by the Incas. They were an agricultural
people who terraced their mountains for growing
their food. There are wild llamas living high
on the mountain; the tourists have them so spoiled
that if they hear the crackle of paper they come
searching for handouts. The Incas worshipedThree
main Gods--the sky, the mountain and steps symbolizing
Mother Earth.

All structures on the mountain tops are built to
slant inward to prevent earthquate damage.
