RAYNE HALL

We took the dogs out for a walk up to the air strip. I took this picture from the lane looking to the north side of Rayne Hall (I blipped the track that leads to the front of the house yesterday) The centre part of the house was built in 1362 but was enlarged and almost completely rebuilt in the 16th century.
I have been in part of the house and it is huge with lots of original feature and is lovely - but this view always makes me think of Bleak House.
