Fireworks in a Jar

Storytime had a bit of a fireworks theme today, chalk pictures on black paper, scratch art and fireworks in a jar, not very exciting but if you're only 3 years old they were all the excitement you need - the fact they were silent seemed to be a bonus, we were in a library!
Coco on the other hand doesn't seem to mind how loud the fireworks are and insists on going outside to wander around the garden, in the dark - I'm not fond of the dark corners of the garden at the best of times but she really doesn't bother and seems quite interested in finding out what's going on. One of the benefits of living on the side of a hill is the great view we get right across the Forth valley, Josh and I curled up at the window to watch the fireworks display in town and right across to Fife. Funny the things he talks about - he chatted away, cuddled into me for ages, long may that continue.
