still waiting…

this was my blip cued up ready to post today.

about an hour ago, the silence was broken as the power returned with gusto. appliances humming, electronics flashing, almost every light in the house blazing. immediately my mind went into list-making mode. dishes on the counter, rescue clothes locked in the washing machine, clean out the fridge… back to life as we know it.

but then i paused. this has all waited four days. what's another night? i'm posting my blip, throwing another log on the fire and heading up for a very long hot shower and then to bed. tomorrow will be here soon enough.
