~Montezuma Well~
We made it to Sedona Arizona... Our flight was good as well as the drive. The last time we were in Sedona we toured Montezuma Castle which is one of the best preserved cliff dwellings in North America. There are 20 rooms nestled into a towering limestone cliff, which tells a story of ingenuity, survival and ultimately, prosperity in an unforgiving desert landscape.
Today we decided to check out Montezuma Well.
~Montezuma Well, a unit of Montezuma Castle, is located 11 miles from the park. Formed long ago by the collapse of a limestone cavern, over one million gallons of water a day flows continuously into the Well. This constant supply of warm, fresh water provides an aquatic habitat like no other in the world, and has served as an oasis for wildlife and humans for thousands of years.~
This picture doesn't begin to show it's beauty... One our way back to the car Mike was seeing geckos darting across the trail, which I didn't see.
Wouldn't you know it I saw the Tarantula.......... Which I did not take a picture of it. It's a sight I want to forget.
Hitting the sack early as I only slept 2 hours last night.
