Gloom

Late afternoon walk in the woods. The sun had been in-and-out all day and it finally settled for in. The wind picked up and swooshed through the tree tops. Leaves russled and swirled. Branches cracked. The clouds loured. Night began to close. I hurried out of there.

I told all this to Mr. L.; he laughed and said Halloween was last week!

We had a very productive day overall, preparing the house for winter, renting a trailer, gathering up our summer items (balcony furniture, golf clubs) and schlepping them out to the storage locker, and repacking all the squished boxes (mainly books). Loving the new trailer hitch!
