No rain and a clear sky for Bonfire Night. There were a lot of bangs and fireworks in the area where I was. We happened to be out with Cosmo when a large number of flashes and explosions occurred. She was a little concerned, but not as much as I thought she would have been. Anyway to put her at ease we retreated inside until it was all over.

Earlier in the day I had been at Johnston Gardens. I still have the impression it is not in quite the condition it was a couple of years ago. The pond is looking a bit overgrown, though there is still room for a few ducks and quite a lot of seagulls. I expect the work on the pond would involve spending some money which is probably not available.
