As the dog awakes

Usually my dog, Max, doesn’t wake up until later in the day (around 10 or 11 A.M.), but today my mother had to go to work this morning so I had the job of taking the dog out at the early hour of 6:00 A.M. When I pulled the covers from over top of Max he turned at looked at me like this as if he were saying “What are you doing it’s like the middle of the night?” I did not know that my dog had the same feelings about the morning as I did, but I guess that is how everybody in my family is, so it would only be natural for Max to be the same way. As I hooked him up and began to walk him to the door he was still barely moving. He then proceeded to stretch and the finally go out the door with me. He then quickly went and did what he had to do and then ran to the door for me to let him in. It usually takes forever to take him out, because he normally has to sniff every bush tree and blade of grass before he is content to go in. I guess that being tired gave him the initiative to go as quickly as possible to go back to sleep. Sometimes I’m unsure as to why Max does some the things he does, but every now and then I feel his struggle and that was one of those times.
