Blown away

One of my students surprised me today.

I asked them if they knew why November 5th was important to me and from the dim and dusty recesses of his brain he recited 'remember, remember the 5th of November'. It turns out that back when he was 13 they had a substitute English teacher for one lesson, on November 5th...and the rest, as they say, is history!
