Little Egret

I have blipped this bird in Devon before but this is the first time we have seen one on our little Canarian Island. The egret was having fun following the fish that were coming in on the tide and having a great feast.

We went to the main town today to buy some meat in the butchers and fruit and veg from the market. The journey there by car involves driving to the highest part of the island and then dropping down to the coast again. The roads are full of bends but the surfaces are very good, a bonus from the EU. All the roads radiate like the spokes of a wheel.

I did get up early and watched the sunrise but although starting well, it didn't amount to much.
