We're off!

One week in Reykjavik, Iceland with Emily! I got her flights for her birthday earlier in the year and tickets to Iceland Airwaves!

We arrived tonight at a wee guesthouse just on the outskirts of the city.

First night nerves set in as we needed food so explored what we thought was the Main Street in town, and went into a resteraunt advertising happy hour! This is a huge think in Iceland purely because alcohol is so expensive, about 6 7 pounds a pint, and that's the cheap ones.

So we went in, it seemed nice and we ordered a pizza and some nachos. It was probably the worst pizza I've ever tasted but the meal got better instantly when the waitress asked I we minded that it was buffet night?

We thought yeah sure that sounds fine, maybe more food for free!

All of a sudden she pulled down a screen and buddy the vampire slayer popped up, accompanied by three men dressed head to toe in leather walking through the door!

Best start to the holiday ever!
