Portraiture

This week we learnt how to take portrait shots - our tutor made it all look so easy. I still struggle with focussing. This shot was lit by a £5 hand held light from a DIY store covered in tracing paper to soften it. A much cheaper alternative than the professional lights.

I have to spend the week practicing as we have to submit 3-4 shots for a competition next week. I just need a willing model with some patience - that rules the boys out on both counts!
