The Falling Bucket
This sculpture in corten steel, stainless steel and gneiss, is by Judith Cowan 1989 and is named - 'Nothing Lasts Forever.' The artist says of this sculpture, "The domestic vocabulary of the work encourages daydreams. Here, the vast apparently falling bucket invites childhood fantasies as you stare into it's interior." The interior contains some rocks which I thought a child might put into a bucket at the seaside as I used to. So that was my daydream. It stands in the entrance to the Murray Edwards College, Cambridge.
