Kirkwall Marina

What a truly b awful day. The old barometer was in the basement. Water was in the basement; seaweed, fish and shingle were also in the basement. Had to take my mother in Kirkwall for her Parkinson’s support group meeting; four brave souls braved the elements. As I went to get her messages I went past Kirkwall Marina for a very quick grabbed blip.

After 14 hours there is still so much water in the atmosphere. Clouds are rushing to dump their annual allowance on the Orkney Isles. After recent decent weather this has been a real sense check.
