Air Ambulance

The air ambulances often land in the rugby club if they are picking up a patient from an awaiting ambulance. The skill of the pilots is amazing. Being on the border we are served by both the Cornwall and Devon choppers which are funded by the public through charitable trusts and are now an essential part of the ambulance service. There are four main hospitals in our area. The nearest is 35 miles away and the others 50 + miles.
