Reality
Sorry, there will possibly be a more disturbing photo tomorrow though.
People look forward to seeing roos and wallabies in the wild but out here you see as many, if not more, like this than hopping around the fields.
I went for a jog down the drive and found this wallaby at the bottom, then spotted something a few metres away, it's joey. It looked like a newborn and it was a bit beat up, I spoke to the farmer's son who said it will have been pulled from the pouch and killed because otherwise it will die of starvation.
Unfortunately the farmer said wallabies only reproduce once a year, but without much in the way of fencing and roo bars on the front of most vehicles there is a HUGE amount of roadkill out here...including wild pigs and emus. However sometimes you might find some with a shot through them instead...
