Football game

Today is the F on my monthly FB challenge alphabet theme.
We had to go to a Football game tonight. Oldest (who's name also begins with an F) was receiving an academic award for National Merit on his pre-SAT. It's during these events that I feel soooo very un-American, because I can't keep up with all those things. All I know is that he's a good student and I'm very proud of all that he has accomplished through the years, but we don't honor and recognize our outstanding students that much in the Netherlands. (if at all???)
Although it was pre-game, it was kind of official. We had to stand on the field behind our students, their names were announced and then the principal of the high school came by to shake hands and they all received a reward.
Afterwards we were walked off the field and we went into a room were cake and lemonade was served.

So today was F for Fabulous Fabio Football day.
